The Beaney’s Armchair Artist residencies showcase the process of creating and making; enabling visitors to meet an artist or craftsperson, and observe them at work within the museum.

Previous artists Jill Holder and Bob Lamoon used the Beaney collections as the starting point for their creations. Their residency culminated in an innovative and absorbing Front Room exhibition which attracted over 3,500 visitors.

Our 2016 Armchair Artist in Residence was Daniel Tollady. You can read Adam’s time as Artist in Residence through his blogs.
