Health and Wellbeing Programme Coordinator

Salary £28,665 per annum
Fixed Term until 2022 – 37 hours per week
Canterbury Museums and Galleries

Main Duties:
Canterbury City Council is looking to appoint a Health and Wellbeing Programme Coordinator for the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge to build on our pioneering work in this field. Canterbury Museums & Galleries have recently been awarded Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation status as part of the Kent and Medway Museums Partnership (KMMP) and will be working as the lead partner for the development of Health and Wellbeing research and practice through museum and gallery services. The successful post holder, working with national and local partners and colleagues, will play a key role in developing and delivering a pioneering health & wellbeing exhibitions and events programme for The Beaney, establishing health and wellbeing at the core of the service. The post holder will provide support and advice for the KMMP group members, sharing best practice and developing shared resources to support the delivery of health and wellbeing outcomes.

Essential Requirements:
We seek an organised, innovative, energetic individual with proven experience in the health and wellbeing, community and cultural programming field. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues and have a passion for arts and culture. This opportunity would suit candidates looking to work creatively as part of a team to challenge cultural preconceptions and actively engage with new audiences locally, regionally and nationally.

Kent Medway Museum NPO Partnership:
The Kent Medway NPO Partnership is a consortium of four museums (The Historic Dockyard Chatham, Canterbury Museums & Galleries, Guildhall Museum Rochester and Tunbridge Wells Museum & Gallery) funded by Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation to work together to deliver excellence in the use of collections to inspire learning, creativity and wellbeing to existing and new audiences in their communities.
