  • Book launch: Anna Denton & The Water of Life
Kent based author Vaughan Hawthorne-Nelson will be launching his first children’s book ‘Anna Denton & The Water of Life’ at The Beaney.

Vaughan, a local primary school teacher and part-time firefighter, says about the book:
‘I wanted to write something that would inform young people about the climate crisis as a real event, not just a dystopian backdrop for a story. Young people above all need hope, hope that they can make a difference just as the character Anna Denton does in my book. You’re never too young to make a difference.’

Vaughan will be available to sign copies of his book after the talk.

Saturday 12 April, 13:30 – 16:00
Learning Lab, First Floor, The Beaney, Canterbury
