On Saturday 9 November, Canterbury author, Bobbie Ann Cole, will be talking about ‘Growing Up Jewish in the 1940s’, the background to her latest novel, Being Lena Levi, at the Library from 10.30-12.30.

Set in 1950, this book charts a Canterbury teen’s quest to find her true identity after the discovery that she has two mothers, one of whom is a Holocaust survivor now living on a kibbutz in the newly formed State of Israel.

Being Lena Levi is available from Waterstones and Amazon for £8.99 but will be on offer at the special event price of £8.00 on the day, as will Bobbie’s two previous books, both memoirs.

Drop in, free of charge.

Location: The Library, The Beaney
