Canterbury: Our Community

Sat 4th July 2026 to Sun 6th September 2026

The Beaney How to get here

A new community exhibition made with members of The Beaney’s Be Connected Network.

  • Canterbury: Our Community
The Be Connected Network are a group of individuals and organisations from across the district of Canterbury, who work with The Beaney to support and advocate for underrepresented communities. The group collaborate with the museum and each other to help to ensure we put on exhibitions that include and represent our local, diverse and brilliant community.

‘Canterbury: Our Community’ explores what makes Canterbury a unique place to live, work and play from the perspectives of people that live here. We invite you engage with the artwork and objects that showcase our connections to the beautiful City, coastline and villages of the district.
This exhibition explores aspects of what makes Canterbury special to us all.

“We hope by visiting the Beaney today you can take a moment, explore another’s perspective, and take in our city from a new angle.”
