Fruit Full – Françoise Sergy

Fruit Full is an exhibition by artist Françoise Sergy which looks at our relationship with sugar, delivered in partnership with the University of Oxford, as well as fruit growers and nutrition scientists.

The exhibition will be a unique exploration of the meaning of sweetness and the way sugar affects our daily life. Using personal stories as a starting point, the artwork will link these to our current knowledge of nutrition and the age-long agricultural practice of fruit growing.

It will offer a deeper insight into a complex and topical issue which affects us all: why is sugar so important in our lives? By juxtaposing creative thinking, private experience and uncomfortable facts, the artwork will be bold and challenging, a truly unusual perspective on the subject. Without forgetting the real stars of the show: the fruits and their power to evoke and please all our senses.

Open from Saturday 30 April until Sunday 19 June (Closed Mondays). Free admission, donations encouraged.
