The Beaney How to get here

A series of FREE Groovin’ Well workshops at The Beaney with Moving Memory Dance Theatre. 

  • Groovin’ Well workshops
These are relaxed and sociable gatherings bringing people together to loosen up, let go and have a laugh. Groovin’ Well workshops are led by and for people age 50 and over. 

Sessions will build from simple getting-to-know-you activities through to making a short choreography from participants’ own stories and movements. The sessions are about having fun, loosening up and letting go, celebrating the good stuff of life. 

“It’s liberating!” 

No experience needed. All shapes, sizes and levels of mobility welcome. 

What to wear and bring: Loose clothing that you feel comfortable in, trainers or bare feet. Bring a bottle of water.

  • 2pm – 3.30pm Friday 11 October 
  • 2pm – 3.30pm Friday 18 October (Dancing in the Explorers & Collectors Gallery) 
  • 2pm – 3.30pm Friday 25 October 
  • 2pm – 3.30pm Friday 1 November
