Quiet gallery contemplation time and object handling session
Thursday 15th March 9am–10am

For one morning only we are opening our Front Room gallery an hour early, and limiting numbers, to allow visitors the opportunity to experience a quieter and perhaps more contemplative gallery environment.

The exhibition currently on show is ‘Sensing Culture: The Power of the Object’ exhibition – a stunning show by people with sight loss, inspired by the collections and textures at The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge and is part of an HLF funded RNIB project to improve the museum and gallery experience for visually impaired visitors.

Objects from The Beaney’s collection will be available to handle during this time as well.

This free event is part of our programme to activities to support National Museums & Wellbeing Week, showcasing our health & wellbeing offer and raising awareness of this valuable area of work.

For more information on all these events and activities please contact The Beaney on 01227 862162 or The Front Room’s Twitter page: @beaneyfrontroom
