The Beaney Butterfly Music Machine
Thursday 11am – 12pm
Drop in and talk to one of the inventors of this unique machine in front of the museum’s iconic paintings. Then take a turn at bringing them to life In Sound with this amazing musical device.
The new and innovative machine has been developed by The Beaney in partnership with Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys, and the Royal National Institute of Blind People as part of an HLF-funded project.
The Machine allows the user to explore a visual image, space or landscape through music using a kinetic sensor and pre-programmed sound.
This event is free and is part of our programme to activities to support National Museums & Wellbeing Week, showcasing our health & wellbeing offer and raising awareness of this valuable area of work.
