Whether you are a Group Travel Organiser or Tour Operator, Canterbury Museums and Galleries have experiences designed to suit your needs.

For visits to both Canterbury Roman Museum or The Beaney, our dedicated team are always happy to cater to meet your group requirements wherever possible.

Adults (age 16 – 59)
£7.70 (Normally £11.00)
Concessions (Age 60+, full-time students, disabled visitors)
£6.30 (Normally £9.00)

£3.85 (Normally £5.55)

Guided tours

We offer pre-booked interpreter-led highlights tours for groups of up to 30 people. The cost is £5 per person (minimum £25 spend applies) in addition to the usual entry price. Tours include a Roman object investigation session in the hands-on area. Tours must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Book online here and select ‘Roman highlights tour.’

Tour Organisers Go Free

A complimentary ticket is available for you as the organiser to use in advance of your visit to familiarise yourself. For more information email learning@canterbury.gov.uk.

Accessibility

Access to Roman level is via a lift, then level access throughout. The museum is fully accessible for people with disabilities and we offer a range of activities including tactile tours and multi-sensory object investigation sessions for blind and partially sighted people.

Coach Parking

Canterbury coach park is about 10-15 minutes walk away.  There are also drop-off spaces available in the city centre.

Payment

Invoices are issued following the date of the visit unless organisers wish to pay in advance.

Cancellation

If payment is not made on the day, we will invoice for the number of visitors that was originally booked or however many actually visited on the day (whichever is higher). If a visit is cancelled less than 2 weeks before it is due to take place, we regret we will still request payment to cover incurred costs.

The Beaney

Admission

Entrance to The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge is free. However, a charge may apply for certain special exhibitions and events. Please see our What’s On page for full details.

Guided Tours

We offer pre-booked highlights tours for groups of up to 30 people (min 8 people). The cost is £6 for adults and £3 for children (minimum £48 spend applies). The tour, lasting approx 45 mins, gives a fascinating insight into the stories behind The Beaney building and its diverse collections. Tours must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance and are subject to availability. Book online here and select ‘The Beaney Highlights Tour’.

Galleries and Collections

The Beaney House of Art & Knowledge is an Art Gallery, Library and Visitor Information Centre situated in the heart of historic Canterbury. This award winning facility provides state-of-the-art exhibition galleries, and protects over 5,000 objects within the museum’s Collection. You can explore our Collections here and Galleries here.
