Learning at The Beaney
The Beaney has been delivering fun and inspiring school’s workshops for over 30 years, bringing subjects to life as part of a rich, cross-curricular experience.
Booking a Schools Workshop with us gives your pupils the unique opportunity to learn alongside a collection of thousands of inspirational artefacts and works of art.
We believe in learning through play and our activities are designed to stimulate curiosity, collaboration and creativity. Through handling real artefacts and investigating our collections your class or group can develop a range of enquiry-based learning skills.
Our dedicated Learning team will work with you to ensure you get the most from your visit, so whether you are investigating Victorian Toys, the Ancient Egyptians, creating art or looking to discover some incredible collections from around the globe, we have a workshop to suit your needs.
The Beaney has received a 2023 Sandford Award.
“The Beaney’s fascinating, varied collections and attractive galleries provide inspiration for a range of engaging school and wellbeing programmes. Health and Wellbeing
Health & Wellbeing is at the heart of what we do. Interacting and socialising in an inspiring environment can help to boost confidence and participating in calming, focused activities can help to reduce levels of anxiety. Groups will reflect on what they have learned as well as how their experience makes them feel.
